Preparing for next Christmas

Tonight I took down and stored away my Christmas decorations. But I am still in the holiday spirit. I just finished cutting hundreds of holiday paper into 1/2" stripes ready to fold into origami stars for garland to sell next Christmas. I am all prepared for being productive during the slow months to come.

New "Snow Covered" Scarves and my first snow globe

I just finished weaving this scarf that I call "Snow Covered with White Handwoven Scarf". While photographing it I couldn't resist showing off my first snow globe I have ever owned. For so long I have been turned off by the cheesiness of most snow globes until last Christmas. I found one at Target just like this one except it had a cardinal. I bought it for my mom as an anniversary gift. My parents are huge bird admirers.

So, I was excited to see this one for sale this Christmas season at Target. I have to admit, there is something magical about a delicate snow globe. Especially when watching your children enjoying one.

A new project pulling threads once again

Well, here I am again facing another complicating piece once again. More than 1400 threads in the warp and half of them I am pulling them one by one down the weaving. What you see here is eight hours of work just pulling threads.
